Workshop on Business & Company Research (April 9, 2026)

Random design with US dollar signs.

The need for business and company research in legal practice is ubiquitous, and attorneys should be familiar with the basics.  Mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, bankruptcy, and unlawful discharge are just some of the areas that require business and/or corporate research. As part of its "Legal Research On-Ramp to Practice" series, the law library is offering a primer on business and company research. The program will be held on April 9, 2026, at noon in Room S503 and on Zoom via https://uic.zoom.us/j/89038709975?pwd=Jxa5N0WW3SDuFpooYYKR1dh488wD0d.1. The presentation will cover US, Illinois, and foreign company research. If you’re interested in attending, please complete this form, and print out or save the accompanying handout.
