UIC Law/National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) Research for Animal Advocacy Collection

In collaboration with the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS), the Law Library maintains a special collection of materials relating to animal rights and animal law. These materials are located on the 6th floor of the library. This collection is open to patrons not affiliated with UIC Law by appointment only. Please contact NAVS in advance for permission to use the collection. Please also see the Law Library’s access policies.

Academic Success Collection

Study aids in print are shelved in the Academic Success Collection on the 6th floor. Law students and faculty also have online access to the study guides available in the Aspen Learning Library database and the LexisNexis Digital Library. Careers Collection

Titles in the Careers Collection are located on the 6th floor and in UIC Law’s Career Services Office. See the section on Circulation Services for information on loan periods.

Chinese Intellectual Property Collection

This collection contains materials in Chinese on intellectual property (IP) topics. Included in the collection are books by UIC Law/JMLS alumni Dongtao Li and Guangliang Zhang. Many of the materials in the collection were published by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) (now the China National Intellectual Property Administration [CNIPA]). Dorothy Li, former Co-Executive Director of the law school’s Asian Alliance Program and former director of the Law Library, coordinated the donation of these materials.

Popular Reading Collection

The Popular Reading Collection on the 6th floor contains books and movies on the law, lawyers, and Chicago. See the section on Circulation Services for information on loan periods.
